If your box will sit in a supermarket grab-and-go fridge, a window gives the customer instant trust in what they are buying. Solid kraft boxes are better when the food is more functional and brand print is the main visual — think delivery meals or catering portions where the packaging itself carries your brand message.

Fold-top boxes come as a single piece — the lid folds over and tucks in, no separate lid to stock or lose. They are ideal for food courts, grab-and-go counters, and operations that want faster packing. Boxes with separate lids (PET, PLA, or paper) give you more flexibility — you can swap lid types, add a window, or choose compostable options. They also look more finished for delivery and retail display.

Start with your food. If your salad comes with dressing pre-mixed in the box, you need a coating — PE is the standard choice for reliable grease and moisture resistance. If you are selling in Europe or positioning the product as plastic-free compostable, PLA lining is the better call. No coating is fine for dry ingredients, grain-based bowls without sauce, or when the dressing is packed separately. Uncoated kraft also costs less, so it works for budget-conscious lines.

Yes. Flexo printing handles up to 6 colors for volume orders, offset printing works for shorter runs. You can print your logo, brand colors, ingredient info, barcodes, and custom artwork. We offer free pre-production design assistance — send your logo and brief and we will prepare a print-ready layout. Plate fees are one-time and the plates stay on file for repeat orders.

Stock boxes without printing start at 1,000 to 2,000 pieces per size. Custom printed orders usually start at 20,000 pieces per design. If you need a custom size with new tooling, we discuss MOQ case by case. We also support mixed-container shipments — useful when you need several sizes in one order to test a new product line.

Standard boxes without custom printing ship in 15 to 20 working days after deposit. Custom printed boxes take 25 to 30 working days including plate making and proofing. Peak season — roughly October through December — needs buffer time. We lock the schedule before production and keep you updated throughout.

Yes. Free stock samples of existing sizes and styles ship in 3 to 5 working days. For custom printed or custom-sized boxes, we produce pre-production samples at cost — the sample fee is deducted from your first bulk order. We recommend ordering a few different sizes to test fit, presentation, and coating performance with your actual food.
